People from all parts of the publishing industry, from industry professionals to award-winning authors, to aspiring authors, flooded the Double Bridge Publishing website (www.doublebridgepublishing.com) with crowdsourcing membership applications throughout its launch week. Its editor and CEO, Richard O’Brien, created the platform to link qualified book reviewers, editors and formatters with writers in order to help improve the quality of their work and publish the best. “If you have your great American novel sitting in a drawer, pull it out and submit it, and our qualified crowdsourcing members will give you three reviews highlighting its strengths or weaknesses. If it’s good enough, we’ll publish it.” Unlike traditional “˜Brick and Mortar’ publishing houses, Double Bridge Publishing relies on crowdsourcing for 90% of its publishing house functions and also provides valuable review services, close to cost, to the public.
