Query: Is the local bar in your jurisdiction reflect (1) a “clients’ town” or (2) a “lawyers’ town”? The latter, the most common, is the culture where lawyer clubbiness, lawyer schedules and lawyer convenience trumps aggressive representation of clients, usually under the ruse of “professionalism”. Professionalism is a silly movement which might have been a good thing but instead transformed lawyering into a cavalier disregard for clients.
