Barack Obama’s presidential campaign might have felt that life was imitating art during the course of the long, drawn out, presidential nominating contest. He pulled ahead of his rival, Hillary Clinton, in February, but she just would not quit. She won just enough big primary victories along the way to give her reason to go on.
