Ozark boy turned Hoosier makes good.

Big Johnny Hull, Depauw 1949. Played at Wabash a year. Then transferred to a school with girls. He excelled at hoops, too. At Indianapolis’s Shortridge High School, Wabash and Depauw. Great athlete. Mobile, agile, hostile. Decided against law school and kicking for an NFL team. Wanted to do well at P&G. He did. Major piece of American work. Funny. Competitive. And a maverick. We fought a lot. For nearly 50 years. I miss him every day.
